Royal Shakespeare Company’s costume and prop workshop.
The sensitive refurbishment of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s historic buildings, transforming 1800s structures into a state-of-the-art costume and prop workshop, stockroom, and exhibition area. Our works included meticulously crafted windows and doors, ensuring the new facilities provide a world-class working environment while respecting the site's heritage. We successfully navigated the complexities of working around ongoing theatre operations and collaborated closely with the Conservation Officer to preserve the buildings' historical integrity. The project integrates a modern extension with traditional elements, enhancing accessibility for visitors and allowing the RSC to showcase its renowned costume workshops for the first time.
